For years, Eli Mercer has worked to erase his past. Once an operative for powerful elites who paid him to quietly handle their problems, he now blends into small-town life as a tailor.
Everything changes when Maya bursts into his shop after witnessing her brother's murder — carrying a USB drive with evidence against a trafficking ring hidden beneath the town. The people hunting her aren't small-time. They're disciplined, strategic, and led by Nicholas Soren: Eli's old commander.
Maya thinks she's found a protector. But the insignia on the drive reveals a deeper secret — one that ties Eli to the very organization she's running from. With corrupt cops, hired killers, and buried loyalties closing in, survival becomes a game of deception. And when everything comes to light, Maya learns her greatest danger may not be the men chasing her… but the man who came to her rescue.
